Alan Black and Shelley Wingate formed their partnership in 2006. In 2012, 2013 and again in 2019 they were the #1 Team in the Pasadena office winning the Award of Excellence, Dilbeck Real Estate’s highest award, while maintaining a Premier Service customer satisfaction rating of 100%. In 2016, they were selected for the Best of Arcadia Award in the Real Estate category. They have over 50 years of combined Real Estate experience. Representing both Buyers and Sellers throughout California, from small condos to large Beverly Hills estates, their combined talents make the process as smooth and as easy as possible for their clients. Their individual strengths unite them for one dynamic team.
Alan Black is a full-time Realtor® with Dilbeck Real Estate and a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). A native of Southern California, Alan grew up in Arcadia and attended the local schools. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1983 with a degree in Finance and Business Administration. In 1984, Alan went into the video business by opening a store which sold and rented VHS movies and equipment. He ran that business for 3 years before selling it in 1987 to pursue a career in real estate, where he was awarded Rookie of the Year. After 14 years as a sales agent, he joined the Dilbeck Management team in 2001 as the Branch Manager of the Pasadena office. In October of 2019 after 19 years in management, he stepped down to spend 100% of his time in Real Estate sales. Alan and his wife Ruth were married in 1989 and live in Arcadia. They have 2 children, a daughter Taylor and a son Daniel. Alan enjoys cycling, golf and water sports.
Shelley Wingate is a full-time Realtor® with Dilbeck Real Estate and a Senior Estates Director. She was honored to receive the Five Star Top Real Estate Agents award for 2014, 2015, and 2016, as voted by Los Angeles Magazine readers, a recognition received by less than 2% of the agents in the Los Angeles area. Shelley was born in Pasadena and grew up in South Pasadena. She entered the real estate industry in 2004 after leaving a 23 year career as a retail executive, where she was a Buyer for Women’s Shoes. Shelley has made Pasadena her home since 1995, when she purchased her first home. Believing in giving back to the community, Shelley has been a board member and event chair for Pasadena-Foothills Association of Real Estate Charitable Foundation (PFARCF) and is a former “White Suit” Member of the Tournament of Roses. Shelley has also earned her Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designations. Shelley spends her spare time with the love of her life, her little dog, Abbey Rose.
