Dilbeck Sales Partner, Tracie Heileson, wants to a see a moustache on every face this November (even hers). But that’s not as strange as it sounds, it’s actually pretty impressive.
Tracie is an active advocate, fundraiser and “Mo Sister” for the Movember Foundation, the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. They fund innovative research around the globe taking aim at the biggest men’s health issues today: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. They’re independent, passionate and without borders. In 13 years they’ve funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world.
Every November, the Movember Foundation takes over! They encourage men everywhere to ditch the razor, grow their ‘mo, and start a conversation about men’s health…and Tracie is right in the thick of it. The Dilbeck powerhouse has personally raised over $1,200 and has promised to match all donations for the month of November!
The passionate La Canada local has been an active supporter of men’s health and an advocate for early detection after a deadly diagnosis rocked her family nearly 7 years ago when a routine physical revealed an aggressive form of cancer in her husband’s bladder. “He felt fine, everything was great. Without these test we never would have known anything was wrong,” Tracie recalls. “If it had gone even a year more without being detected, the doctors don’t know what would have happened.” What followed was 6 months worth of chemotherapy, a dozen surgeries, and very grateful family that thanks early detection for their family being whole. “I’m so grateful,” Tracie says. “I couldn’t ask for anything more.” Now, she wants to help pass along as much of that gratitude, positivity and good fortune to every man and their family.
This year alone, she’s partnered with One Hope Wines, Luna Grill, Sports Clips, local La Canada favorite Los Gringos Locos, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation and encouraged countless community members and local businesses to “sport the stache” for a good cause. You can find a full list of Tracie’s Movember partnerships and her hosted events at Dilbeck.com/Movember.
But Tracie hasn’t gone it alone this Movember. President, Mark Dilbeck was quick to join the moustache movement, and a hairy host of Dilbeck Sales Partners and Branch Managers have also taken up the call to put down their razors and get fuzzy for a good cause.
One Hope Wine has also joined our Movember Movement and brought the goods that do good to our La Canada office. Their impressive display of wine, snark, sparkle, and inspiration takes center stage at our La Canada office as a reminder of both Tracie’s passion and Dilbeck’s continuing commitment to community and causes that touch all our lives.
